Everyday Green Smoothie

Dietary: VEG, GF, EF

Allergens: Dairy, Nuts

Age group: 8 months +

Serves: 2

Prep: 5 mins

Equipment: High-speed blender

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana (100g), frozen 

1-2 stalks of celery, rinsed and chopped

Handful baby spinach (15-20g) 

1 cup (250ml) milk of choice 

1 tbsp (20g) nut butter of choice 

1 tsp (5g) chia seeds, soaked 

2 Medjool dates (30g), pitted 

Method:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. 

Storing and leftovers: Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to 4 months. 

 

Tips: 

  • Prep tips: 
    Pour any leftover smoothie into popsicle moulds and freeze for an after-school snack. 

  • Allergies: 

For a dairy-free version: Swap milk for a plant-based alternative such as almond, coconut, soy or oat milk. 

For a nut-free version: Swap nut butter for tahini or a seed butter of choice. 

  • Easy ingredient swaps: 
    Swap chia seeds for seeds of choice.
