Ingredients
STICKY DRUMSTICKS:
3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
Pinch sea salt and black pepper
1/3 cup (80ml) tamari or soy sauce
1/3 cup (80ml) raw honey
1 tsp cold-pressed sesame oil
Zest and juice of ½ lemon
8 small chicken drumsticks (800g)
GARNISH: (optional)
1 ½ tsp sesame seeds
1 spring onion, rinsed and thinly sliced
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
In a bowl, add garlic, salt, tamari, honey, sesame oil, zest and juice of lemon and stir to combine.
Place chicken drumsticks in a casserole dish, add the sticky sauce and toss to coat. Cover and let sit in the fridge for an hour to marinate.
Take the chicken out of the fridge and bake for 35 mins or until cooked through and golden brown on top.
Serve sticky chicken drumsticks with sesame and spring onions sprinkled on top, steamed greens of choice and brown rice.
Serving and storing leftovers: Serve immediately, store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 4 months.
