Frozen Snickers Banana Pop

Frozen Banana Snicker Pops - Your kids are going to love this one! Kid-approved and simple to make, this treat is a double delight of delicious and healthy.

Did you know that ripe bananas are rich in essential nutrients like magnesium, potassium, B6, vitamin C and dietary fibre? A great way to provide your little ones with sustained energy while supporting their growing bodies.

Jus peel, cut and dip those nutrient-packed bananas in your chocolate of choice (go for the 80% dark kind for extra antioxidants!), roll in crushed snicker goodness and freeze. It's a snack time dream come true that you can feel good about!

SERVES: 4

PREP: 15 mins (+30 mins – 1 hour in the freezer)

EQUIPMENT: Popsicle sticks 


INGREDIENTS:

2 ripe bananas, peeled 

1/3 cup (80ml) smooth peanut butter 

½ cup (80g) crushed peanuts 

150g 70% dark chocolate, melted 

 

METHOD:

  1. Cut both bananas in half and place each half on a popsicle stick. 

  2. Using a butter knife, evenly spread nut butter on the banana. 

  3. Roll the banana in the crushed peanuts and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Freeze for 30 mins - 1 hour. 

  4. Melt the chocolate and drizzle over frozen banana popsicles until covered. 

 

Storing leftovers: Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 months. 


 Tips: 

  • Prep tips: To reduce prep time, leave out freezing step, but the chocolate needs to set in the freezer afterwards. 

  • Allergies: For a nut-free version: Swap peanut butter for tahini or sunflower or pumpkin seed butter and roll into crushed seeds. 

  • Easy ingredient swaps: Swap peanut butter for nut butter of choice. Swap crushed peanuts for nuts or seeds of choice.
