Frozen Yoghurt & Berry Bites

Perfect for kids and adults alike, these delightful treats are made from just a few wholesome ingredients: creamy yoghurt, fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, and a touch of dark chocolate. Say goodbye to store-bought ice creams filled with additives and hello to a homemade alternative that's quick, easy, and bursting with flavour!

Frozen Yoghurt & Berry Blobs

DIETARY: VEG, GF, EF, NF

ALLERGENS: Dairy

AGE GROUP: 12 months+

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner

SERVES: 10

PREP: 10 mins (+ 2-3 hours freezing)

EQUIPMENT: High-speed blender

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup (255g) Greek yoghurt

2 tbsp (40g) honey or maple syrup

1 ½ cups (190g) frozen mixed berries

1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract

200g dark chocolate (>70%), melted

METHOD:

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy or until it reaches your desired texture. Alternatively mix all ingredients by hand without blending - if you don’t mind texture.

  3. Spoon dollops of the mix onto the baking paper and freeze for 2-3 hours.

  4. Dip into melted chocolate and place back into the freezer until chocolate has set.

  5. Enjoy!

STORING LEFTOVERS: Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 months.

 

TIPS:

  • Prep tips:
    Alternatively, pour the mix into popsicle moulds.
    You can also add a wooden popsicle stick to your blob to create popsicles.

  • Allergies:
    For a dairy-free version: Swap Greek yoghurt with coconut or soy yoghurt.

  • Easy ingredient swaps:
    Swap berries for fruit of choice.

  • Additional boosters:
    Add crushed nuts or nut butter into the yoghurt mix.
